CVPA is the newest chapter of the Virginia Production Alliance (VPA). The VPA promotes film and media production throughout Virginia by sponsoring events, promoting legislative incentives for film production, and providing networking and educational opportunities for the vast numbers of film professionals and aspiring professionals in the Commonwealth. CVPA supports and promotes the Charlottesville and southwest Virginia filmmaking community. CVPA holds M.E.s (pronounced “Emmys”) on the first Monday of every month, sponsors industry networking parties and screenings and has created an active legislative committee. With its impressive pool of creative talent, central Virginia is a thriving destination for filmmaking. Membership consists of those interested in supporting our film community as well as those directly involved and impacted by production.
